Thank you for your patience!! It has taken longer than normal to get photos up on here ..... but, there are mitigating circumstances as you will soon learn. Captions are below the photos. As usual, please click on the photos to enlarge and, if you like them enough, feel free to save them to your computer.
Those who have sent emails, thank you!! Unfortunately, while I can pull them down, there is some sort of "smtp mail server" error that does not allow me to send?!?!? I will look for a wifi hotspot in town where my computer doesn't argue with the smtp mail server grrrr ...... maybe I can get lunch at some cool cafe and blog in front of a fire .... optimist that I am .... LOL .... well, you DO have to look at the bright side of life! Keep the email coming ... I will reply to all of them soon!
Here are a couple of teaser photos .......
If you guessed that this green river is indeed the Green River you are correct! This photo is a good argument for the need for a new camera. This one captures the rocks in the foreground in a close to perfect rendering of the actual colors but the background washes out.

This one is taken in Dinosaur National Monument. It is just one of many amazing views offered by the park. The beauty of this park is the main cause of my post sunset arrival in Pocatello, ID.

This is what the world looks like at 12,000 feet up in the Rocky Mountains.

I am not sure what peak this is ..... this is a little lake (here they call it a lake but, where I come from we would call it a pond) east of the park with the weather still enough for a bit of reflective photography.

This is my first sort of close up glimpse of what awaits me in Rocky Mountain National Park as seen from Peak-to-Peak road east of the park.
